A Solo Bicycle Ride from Alaska to Florida

Campaign for Good News was a solo bicycle ride from Alaska to Florida that took place during the summer of 2012. On June 22, 2012, Chris Greig cycled solo and unsupported from Fairbanks, Alaska to Miami, Florida, each night featuring 30 pre-arranged ‘good news’ stories from communities along his route. The stories were videotaped and posted to this website nightly. His goal was to remind you of some of the positive things happening in the world and inspire others to dream big and ‘make a difference’ in whatever way they can.

He completed the 7000km (4350 mile) trip in 35 days, averaging 200 kms (125 miles) per day. His progress was tracked in real-time via GPS tracking and he updated this website nightly, using a small laptop he carried with him.

Though the trip is over, he invites to you watch some of the stories, read the daily blog that he wrote while on the road, and see two important mysteries that he revealed at the end of the ride. You may also want to see his daily stats and view some of the many photos he took.
